The fabric is held in tracks on both sides
This prevents excessive fabric movement and noisy flapping, and provides a seal on both sides. As the fabric does not
need to be tightly stretched, the longevity of the product is improved.
The centrally-located locking mechanism
makes Rollashield Outdoor blinds easy to use. Customers can raise, lower and lock blinds into position one-handed and
without needing to move around the blind.
Intermediate locking position
can be easily provided, so that blinds may be set at an ideal shading height. Customers with multiple blinds can
select an intermediate position which allows their blinds to line up neatly. The installer simply drills new locking
holes on site to the customer’s requirement.
The bottom bar is made from aluminium
and internal components are stainless steel. Since the top tube is also aluminium, Rollashield Outdoor blinds are
ideal for coastal environments when used with stainless steel brackets.
The blinds are designed to be unobtrusive
and present clean, functional lines. The edge spline is largely concealed, avoiding introduction of another colour.
A vee-seal or round seal at the base
of the bottom bar is provided as standard to prevent marking customers’ floor surfaces; this can be removed, or
replaced with a valance on site if required. Vee-seals and skirts can be slid in and out without the need to weld or
stitch.
The bottom bar is held within full length channels on both sides,
resulting in a very strong design. Any wear marks which occur over time are hidden.
Adjustment for out-of-square is provided
by adjusting the tracks on the mounting channels during installation. An optional deep channel is available to assist
in awkward mounting applications, such as post saddles or walls with exposed copper pipes, or excessive out-of-square.
Locks can be offset
to one side and separate locks can be fitted to both sides of the blind if required.
Rollashield Outdoor blinds can be face fixed
when fitted to a balcony or garden where outside access is not available.
Decorative rings or post feet can be accommodated
in most situations as only a 35mm slot is required for the sidetrack because the lock is internal.

Sam and the team were accomodating to our needs. We were able to automate an old manually operated shutter which gave it longevity and avoided the need to change the entire unit. The best business I have dealt with. Came to measure on the same day and they were able to make the shutters very quickly. We used Oz Roller Shutters in December 2020 to install 14 shutters. It was one of the best decisions we made with regard to our home. Having our first level balcony facing the west where the suns sets we suffered for a couple of years from rain and heat hitting our glass windows and glass sliding doors. Even though we had refrigerated cooling it was still very warm in the house because of the heat from the sun. When it would rain it would be terrible. Everything on the balcony would be soaked and the floor would be wet and slippery. None of the above happens now. Our house stays cool in summer and warmer in winter without using the central heating as much.With electricity and gas going through the roof its been a great investment in hindsightWe also had them installed on the ground level which makes us feel very safe. Pretty difficult for an intruder to come in when these heavy duty roller shutters are down. We cannot praise Sam Navi and their crew enough. They are so polite and willing to go that bit extra to make you happy. The reason I am writing this review so long after install is because we had another shutter installed recently and completely forgot to write a review after the initial install. We believe they look great but that's our opinion. They also have this great tool on their website where you are able to calculate how much it will cost you. I called other companies but found Oz Roller Shutters were much more competitive and consultative. Highly recommended.We chose black surroundings because our window frames are black but you can choose whatever you like.You won't be disappointed.
